Η Χορωδία “Cantelena” Πάτρας ιδρύθηκε το 2016 από τη σημερινή της διευθύντρια, Ελένη Παπαδοπούλου-Αραβαντινού. Αποτελείται από τα τμήματα: Προχορωδία-Junior, Παιδική, Νεανική-Γυναικεία και Μικτή Χορωδία. Το ρεπερτόριο της χορωδίας περιλαμβάνει πρωτότυπα έργα και διασκευές από τη σύγχρονη χορωδιακή μουσική.

Η χορωδία από τη δημιουργία της, έχει χαράξει μία σπουδαία πορεία με πολλές συναυλίες ετησίως, στην Ελλάδα και στο εξωτερικό.

Επιγραμματικά, η χορωδία έχει συμμετάσχει στο “18 ο Πασχαλινό Φεστιβάλ Μόσχας”, στη Ρωσία (2019), μετά από πρόσκληση του Υπουργείου Πολιτισμού της Ρωσίας, στο “2 o Leonardo Da Vinci International Choral Festival”, στη Φλωρεντία της Ιταλίας (2018), στο οποίο τιμήθηκε με ασημένιο μετάλλιο. Έχει, επίσης, λάβει μέρος στο “2 ο International Festival & Competition Kalamata’s” της INTERKULTUR (2017), όπου τιμήθηκε με τρία χρυσά μετάλλια, ενώ το γυναικείο τμήμα αναδείχθηκε Category Winner συμμετέχοντας στο Grand Prix του διαγωνισμού. Συμμετείχε στο Διεθνές Πασχαλινό Φεστιβάλ Σόφιας, στη Βουλγαρία (2017). Η χορωδία είχε επιλεχθεί να εκπροσωπήσει τη χώρα μας στους “11 ους Παγκόσμιους Αγώνες Χορωδιών” τον Ιούλιο του 2020 στο Βέλγιο αλλά λόγω της πανδημίας δεν πραγματοποιήθηκε η διοργάνωση.

The “Cantelena” choir of Patras, was founded in 2016 by the current director Mrs. Eleni Papadopoulou – Aravantinou. It consists of 3 sections and its repertoire includes original works and covers of contemporary choral music. Since its creation, the choir has carved a great and brilliant path with many national and international concerts annually.

Among other things, the choir has been honored with numerous medals and distinctions. It has attended the “18th Moscow Easter Festival”, in Russia in 2019, following an invitation of the Ministry of Culture of the country, the “2nd Leonardo Da Vinci International Choral Festival”, in Italy in 2018, where it was awarded a silver medal. She has also participated in INTERKULTUR’s “2nd International Festival & Competition Kalamata’s” in 2017, where she was awarded with three gold medals, while the women’s section was Category Winner by participating in the Grand Prix of the competition. Finally, she participated in the Sofia International Easter Festival in Bulgaria 2017 in the same year. The choir would have been honoured to represent our country at the “11th World Choir Games” in July 2020 in Belgium, but this was postponed due to the pandemic.
